For Strength and Wisdom

Thank you, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry out to you in my times of need.

It is amazing to me that the Lord of the Universe would take time to listen to me and to care about what I say.
God, there are things happening around me right now that I do not understand. Some of these things make me feel weak, helpless and afraid.

Even in the midst of this, I know that you are the Lord.
I know that the situation is in Your hand, and I trust You.
I beseech you for strength and for wisdom that I would be able to endure this situation and be able to handle it in a way that would bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer For Strength to Persevere

Dear Lord, I know how important it is that we are strong in the Lord and in the strength of Your power, knowing that we are not fighting against a physical enemy but an evil and powerful spiritual enemy, whose chief desire is to shipwreck the witness of those that are united with Christ and render them powerless against the wicked schemes and strategies of the devil. Give us a greater understanding and awareness of the enemy’s tactics and help us to realise the importance of covering ourselves completely in our spiritual armour, so that we are spiritually prepared and spiritually equipped to stand firm against their evil plots and ploys.

May all who seek to live godly in Christ Jesus stand fast on God’s word of truth and put on the breastplate of Christ’s righteousness. May we walk in His ways of peace.. in spirit and in truth, and help us to protect ourselves by grace through faith – as we resolutely stand firm on the many facts of God’s word. May our thoughts and minds be protected from the deceptive lies and wicked deceit of the enemy as we cover our heads with the helmet of Christ’s Salvation, by grace through faith and may we wheel the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God with wisdom and understanding as we stand firmly grounded on the Rock of our salvation.

Keep us humble before You Father, and may we persevere in continuous, earnest and pleading prayer – knowing that in Christ the enemy is already defeated and in Him, we are called to remain steadfast in the faith, by the power of the Spirit, and to the glory of God – in Jesus name we pray,

Amen

Dear God,
Dear Jesus,
Dear Holy Ghost.
I pray to you,
my holy help.
I’m facing a struggle right now that is making me very confused and upset.
It seems to be disrupting my every day life,
and it’s like I cannot get it out of my mind.
I keep finding myself thinking about it,
and not knowing what to do.
Dear Lord,
I’m scared.

I don’t want to make a mistake,
I want to do what is right.
Please help me!
Please help me with divine intervention!
You know what to do,
you know what is best.

You can see into the very souls,
hearts and minds of everyone, and everything is within your unlimited power. (Matthew 28:18).

Therefore I ask that you strengthen me in this situation.
Please strengthen me not only with wisdom, guidance, discernment,
but also with the ability to let things go when it is time to let them go,
such as nighttime when I need to sleep.

Please help this situation turn out in according to you mighty plan.
Thank you for being you!

Thank you for what you have done for me in my life!
I profess that you are my king, my God, my Lord, my everything!
Without you I’m nothing and can do nothing. (John 15:5).

Have mercy and pity on me please God,
thank you.
Amen!

A Prayer for Strength and Encouragement

Lord, like David, I need your encouragement in a time of trial and anguish. Thank you that you are always on the throne, always my God, ready to save. Thank you for being the same God to me that you were to David. Thank you for always being near and always rescuing me from my fears and hurts. Lord, help me remember that daybreak might be just ahead, that this trial will not last forever. Fill me with hope that daybreak is coming and that your love will always prevail! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

A Prayer for Strength

Lord, I’m weary. My energy is sagging, and my motivation is lagging. And I am so in need of you. I need your strength and your fresh touch to get back on track again. Your Word says the joy of the Lord is my strength. If that’s true, then I need your joy to replace all the bone-tired parts of my mind, body, and soul.

The pressures of life sometimes push me into a corner, rendering me helpless to move forward. A hundred voices call my name, and I feel paralyzed at times to answer, not knowing where to turn. Lord, help me not to quit, to keep running the race faithfully, and to find strength in that safe, secret place of yours, under the shadow of the Almighty.

I need your strength to say no when I’m tempted to surrender to harmful things, or when selfishness clings to my clothes and won’t let go. I need your strength to say yes, when cowardice and fear nudge me to deny the convictions of my heart. I need your strength to reach out in love to those both close to me and all around me. When don’t I need your strength, God?

You are my rock, and I run to you today, believing that you will lift up my heavy arms, that you will fuel me for the tasks you’ve given me, and that your joy will completely consume the weakness of my life and make me strong again. I don’t want to stay grounded, crippled by limitations and failed attempts. I’m tired of feeble efforts. Lord, I want to mount up with wings like an eagle and not just fly. I want to soar.

Renew my strength, Lord. Fill me with your supernatural power to overcome each obstacle in my path. With my eyes on you, Lord, with you walking beside me, working through me, I can make it. Thank you, Lord!

In Jesus’s name, Amen

Give Me Strength, Lord

Lord, you are Holy above all others, and all of the strength that I need is in your hands.

I am not asking, Lord, that you take this trial away. Instead, I simply ask that Your will be done in my life. Whatever that means, that is what I want.

But I admit that it’s hard, Lord.

Sometimes I feel like I can’t go on. The pain and the fear are too much for me, and I know that I don’t have the strength on my own to get through this.

I know that I can come to you, Jesus, and that you will hear my prayer. I know that it is not your intent to bring me to this point just to leave me in the wilderness alone.

Please, Lord, give me the strength that I need to face today. I don’t have to worry about tomorrow.

If you just give me the strength that I need today that is all I need.

Keep me from sinning during this trial. Instead, help me to keep my eyes on you. You are the Holy Lord, and all of my hope rests in you.

Thank you for hearing my prayer.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Bless me with strength

Bless me with the strength to keep going on. Bless me with the kind of strength Job had when he did not curse you despite all that he faced.

I have faith in you lord and I believe you when you said you would never leave nor forsake us.

Thank you lord, for I know you have heard me. Thank you for I know now that I can handle anything, with you by my side. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.

A Prayer for Discernment and Wisdom

When You Need God’s Direction

Lord, thank You for the people You have divinely placed in my life who speak holy truth, love and words of wisdom. Give me a heart of discernment to know when You are using someone to speak instruction into my heart and my circumstances, and give me the strength and courage to follow through with that advice, even when it’s hard. Fill me with peace in knowing that even if I take a wrong turn, Your purpose will prevail. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Praying for Divine Wisdom

Beautiful Lord, Purify my heart. Grant me Your divine wisdom, as I make You the center of my life, King Jesus. Guide me in all that I do. Save me from pride, arrogance, doubt, and fear.

Lead me to victory, where the waters are calm, the earth is still, and where I overlook the trials from the mountaintop, with peace in my heart, knowing I have survived the storm.

For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say. Luke 12:12

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

A Prayer for Wisdom and Peace

When Making Big Decisions

Dear heavenly Father, you number our hairs and determine our days; you hang the stars and feed the sparrows; you open doors no one can shut and shut doors no one can open. Surely, we can trust you when the time comes for making big decisions, or for that matter, any decisions. I’m in just such a season again, Father, and I know I’m not alone. We will trust you for generous wisdom, straight paths and peaceful hearts, all for your glory.

How we praise you for being the decision-making-God. It’s not our decisions, but yours that make all the difference. We will plan, but we trust you to order our steps. We will pray, but ask you to fix our prayers en route to heaven. We will seek counsel, but count on you to overrule faulty or incomplete input from our most trusted friends and mentors. We will search the Scriptures, but not looking for proof texts but for you, Father. All we want and need is you.

Free us from the paralysis of analysis—wanting make the right decision, more than we want to be righteous people; wanting to be known as wise people, more than we want to know you. Free us from the idolatry of assuming there’s only one “perfect” choice in any given situation. Free us from making decisions primary for our comfort and other’s approval, or fear their disapproval. Free us to know that good choices don’t always lead to the easiest outcomes, especially at first. Free us from second and twenty-second guessing our decisions.

Father, no matter if it’s wisdom about buying or selling, vocation or vacation, this place or that place, this person or that person, we know that in ALL things, your will is our sanctification—our becoming more and more like Jesus. Give us this passion; make it our delight.

So, Father, make us more and more like Jesus, even as we trust you for the opening and closing of doors that are in front of us. All for your glory—in our eating and drinking; and in our whatever’s, whenever’s and wherever’s. So very Amen we pray, in the name of our reigning King, Jesus.
