Prayers for Love and Affection
Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection and to the simplest pleasure. Love is also considered to be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection, as “the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another”. It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one’s self or animals.
Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts. Love has been postulated to be a function to keep human beings together against menaces and to facilitate the continuation of the species.
Affection, attraction, infatuation, or fondness is a “disposition or state of mind or body” that is often associated with a feeling or type of love. It has given rise to a number of branches of philosophy and psychology concerning emotion, disease, influence, and state of being. “Affection” is popularly used to denote a feeling or type of love, amounting to more than goodwill or friendship.
The Prayer is recommended to be recited on some sweet and the same should be eaten by both the person particularly wife and husband for one week. There will be great affection and love between them.
“Verily I have loved the good things besides the remembrance of my Lord, until got hidden in the veil (of the darkness of the Night)”
“Verily those who believes and work good deeds the Beneficent (God) will appoint love for them.”
A Prayer for Love
Thank you for your great love for us. You sent your only Son to live with us and show us how to love. He gave His life for us and resurrected on that third day so that we could also be with you in eternity!
Lord, to feel just an inch of the radiance of your love and the glow from your excellence will be more than we can imagine. Knowing your love for us is humbling too.
We are imperfect humans moving around on this Earth day to day attempting to live lives that are worthy of the calling you have on us. We need your guidance and direction.
Father, for the woman that needs to feel your love today, I pray that you give her eyes to see and ears to hear your love for her. You know her name, her past, her triumphs, and her wounds. Let her know it is never too late to call on you, ask for your forgiveness, give her life to your service, rebuke the sin that is entangling her, and live free as a Child of God. For those alone or feeling unloved, let their love for you be so fierce that it radiates back to them. Let them live each day forward knowing you love them more than they can imagine and that they are not alone.
Father, for the woman that finds it easier to love herself than others, give her eyes to see how special all of your children are. Give her opportunities to sit down with those that don’t look or think like her so that she can learn what it really means to love her neighbor. Help her to be kind, encouraging, forgiving, loving to those that may never realize her impact, and move forward with the ability to treat others with love no matter what. Give her the grace and strength to move from day to day with an outpouring of love for her neighbor.
Father, for the woman that finds it easier to love others more than herself, give her the gift of self-love and forgiveness. Hold her and embrace her. Give her permission to take care of herself, to enjoy the things that make her heart sing, and give her the time it takes to do those things. You love her servant heart, Lord, please let her feel the peace that your love wants to give her in these busy days we all live in.
Thank you Father that no matter where our hearts are you are always reaching out to love us unconditionally! You are the ultimate example of love and we are so grateful for that!

Prayer for My Husband’s Affection
Lord, I pray for open physical affection between my husband and me. Enable each of us to lay aside self-consciousness or apathy and be effusive in our display of love. Help us to demonstrate how much we care for and value each other. Remind us throughout each day to affectionately touch one another in some way. Help us to not be cold, undemonstrative, uninterested, or remote. Enable us to be warm, tender, compassionate, loving, and adoring. Break through any hardheadedness on our part that refuses to change and grow. If one of us is less affectionate to the other’s detriment, bring us into balance.
Where any lack of affection has planted a negative view of marriage in our children, or taught them an incorrect way of relating to a marriage partner, help us to model the right way so that they can observe it. Show us how to openly confess our errors to them and demonstrate our commitment to live differently.
Change our habits of indifference or busyness. May we not so take each other for granted that we don’t make the effort to reach out and touch one another with affection. Help us not to weaken the marriage through neglect of this vital means of communication. I pray that we always “greet one another with a kiss of love” (1 Peter 5:14). I know that only the transforming power of the Holy Spirit can make changes that last. I trust You to transform us and make us the husband and wife You called us to be.

Prayer for my husband to love me once again
(a prayer asking God for love to return to a marriage when a husband’s affections have grown cold)
The silence has grown between us, the silence of weary hearts, a nothing left to say sound, where once there was such a spark. So come O Lord, O Spirit come and lift my heart to try, to find new words, new passion, new rhythm. Within my life, come and re-light me, help me to live and awaken his heart.
The vision has faded, dulled by regret, the dust of confusion and doubt. There’s nothing upon our horizons, our eyes are cast down, no longer fixed upon your heart. So come O Lord, O Spirit come and lift our eyes to see, to watch a great adventure open up before us, to find new hopes and dreams. Come and awaken us, help us to live, may we rise up so our beauty is seen.
Our love has become crushed, worn and threadbare. I’ve neglected to mend, renew and to cleanse this devotion that once sparkled with joy. So come O Lord, O Spirit come and uncover this gem, help us to see the beauty again of the “us” that was crafted by heavens command. Come and remind us of the vows that were made, help us to re-find the bride and the groom again.
I ask for your Spirit to move in my heart, that I might now choose to take hold of our precious friendship, that I’ll start to light up, awake and rise up, so that my husband will awake to his love.
Short prayer for my husband to love me
I am so sad that the love between us has faded. Please work in our hearts, our minds and our spirits that we might fall in love again. Amen.
