Prayers of Praise from The Bible

 Praise God that He is love (I John 4:7-8), and that because of Jesus’ sacrifice you know what love looks like (I John 3:16).

Praise God that He is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and that He is your solid Rock, your Fortress, your Rescuer, your Shield, your salvation’s strength, and your place of safety (Psalm 18:2).

Praise the Lord for being the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable (Isaiah 40:28). His ways are higher than your ways, and His thoughts higher than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9).

Praise the God whose way is perfect. Praise Him that His Word proves true and that He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him (Psalm 18:30).

Praise God for His holiness. “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah 6:3).

Praise the Lord, who is like no other, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression. Praise Him for His mercy – He does not retain his anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love. Praise Him for His compassion and for His forgiveness. “He will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea” (Micah 7:18-19).

Praise the Lord, “a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty.” (Exodus 34:6-7)

Praise God, whose might is like no other, and whose faithfulness surrounds Him. Praise Him that righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne, and that steadfast love and faithfulness go before Him (Psalm 89:8,14).

Praise God that with Him, nothing is impossible (Mark 10:27). “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You” (Jeremiah 32:17).

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High (Psalm 9:1-2).

O God, I praise and extol Your name. You ride on the clouds. Your Name is Jehovah. I rejoice before You. You are a father to the fatherless, a Judge and Protector of widows, for You are Holy. You set the lonely in families and lead forth the prisoners with singing. Because You are my help, I sing in the shadow of Your Wings. My soul clings to You. Your right hand upholds me. You are a glorious Lord! You daily bear my burdens and carry me day by day. I praise You, O Lord my savior. For each day You carry me in Your arms. You are a God who saves! You are the Sovereign Lord who rescues me from death (Psalm 68:4-8, 19-20).

I praise You, O God, for You alone perform marvelous deeds. I praise Your glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with Your glory (Psalm 72:18-19).

I will sing to You all my life. I will sing praise to You, my God, as long as I live. May the words of my heart be pleasing to You. (Psalm 104: 33-34).

Lord, I will praise you before all people. I will sing praises about you to every nation. Your faithful love is higher than the highest clouds in the sky! Rise above the heavens, God. Let all the world see Your glory (Psalm 108: 3-5).

You are my God, and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will exalt you.

You do wonderful things, more than anyone could ask for. The things You do are great and glorious! There is no end to Your goodness. You do amazing things so that we will remember that You are kind and merciful (Psalm 111:2-4).

I praise your greatness, my God the King; I will praise you forever. You are great and worthy of my praise; no one can understand how great You are. One generation shall praise Your works to another and declare Your mighty acts, (Psalm 145:1-4).

Offer this psalm of praise to the Lord, beckoning all of creation to give Him the praise due His name:

Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise Him in the heights!
Praise Him, all His angels;
praise Him, all His hosts!
Praise Him, sun and moon,
praise Him, all you shining stars!
Praise Him, you highest heavens,
and you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the Lord!

For He commanded and they were created.
And He established them forever and ever;
He gave a decree, and it shall not pass away.
Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all deeps,
fire and hail, snow and mist,
stormy wind fulfilling His word!
Mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars!
Beasts and all livestock,
creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and maidens together,
old men and children!

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for His name alone is exalted;
His majesty is above earth and heaven.
He has raised up a horn for His people,
praise for all His saints,
for the people of Israel who are near to Him.
Praise the Lord! (Psalm 148)

11.) A Prayer of Praise[a]

27 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
    I will fear no one.
The Lord protects me from all danger;
    I will never be afraid.

When evil people attack me and try to kill me,
    they stumble and fall.
Even if a whole army surrounds me,
    I will not be afraid;
even if enemies attack me,
    I will still trust God.[b]

I have asked the Lord for one thing;
    one thing only do I want:
to live in the Lord‘s house all my life,
    to marvel there at his goodness,
    and to ask for his guidance.
In times of trouble he will shelter me;
    he will keep me safe in his Temple
    and make me secure on a high rock.
So I will triumph over my enemies around me.
    With shouts of joy I will offer sacrifices in his Temple;
    I will sing, I will praise the Lord.

Hear me, Lord, when I call to you!
    Be merciful and answer me!
When you said, “Come worship me,”
I answered, “I will come, Lord.”
    Don’t hide yourself from me!

Don’t be angry with me;
    don’t turn your servant away.
You have been my help;
    don’t leave me, don’t abandon me,
    O God, my savior.
10 My father and mother may abandon me,
    but the Lord will take care of me.

11 Teach me, Lord, what you want me to do,
    and lead me along a safe path,
    because I have many enemies.
12 Don’t abandon me to my enemies,
    who attack me with lies and threats.

13 I know that I will live to see
    the Lord‘s goodness in this present life.
14 Trust in the Lord.
    Have faith, do not despair.
Trust in the Lord. (Psalm 27)
