The Qur’an, (Qur’ān, Quran, Koran, or Al-Qur’an; literally “the recitation“) is the central religious text or Scripture of Islam. Muslims believe the Qur’an to be the book of divine guidance and direction for mankind and consider the text in its original Arabic to be verbatim the word of Allah, revealed to Muhammad by Gabriel over a period of 23 years between 610 and 632 C.E.

The Quran is an eternal translation of the great book of the universe and the everlasting translator of the various ‘languages’ in which Divine laws of the creation and operation of the universe are ‘inscribed’; the interpreter of the books of the visible, material world and the world of the Unseen.

 

وَقُل رَبِّ أَعوذُ بِكَ مِن هَمَزاتِ الشَّياطينِ ⇐ وَأَعوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحضُرونِ

[Quran; 23:97-98] …”My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils. “And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they come near me.”

قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ الۡفَلَقِۙ‏ ⇐ مِنۡ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَۙ‏ ⇐ وَمِنۡ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَۙ‏ ⇐ وَمِنۡ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِى الۡعُقَدِۙ ⇐ وَمِنۡ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ‏ 

[ Quran 113:1-5] …”I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak. “From the evils among His creations. “From the evils of darkness as it falls. “From the evils of the troublemakers. “From the evils of the envious when they envy.”

قُل أَعوذُ بِرَبِّ النّاسِ ⇐ مَلِكِ النّاسِ ⇐ إِلٰهِ النّاسِ ⇐ مِن شَرِّ الوَسواسِ الخَنّاسِ ⇐ الَّذي يُوَسوِسُ في صُدورِ النّاسِ ⇐ مِنَ الجِنَّةِ وَالنّاسِ

[Quran; 114:1-6] …”I seek refuge in the Lord of the people. “The King of the people. “The god of the people. “From the evils of sneaky whisperers. “Who whisper into the chests of the people. “Be they of the Jinns, or the people.”

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ ⇐ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العالَمينَ ⇐ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ ⇐ مالِكِ يَومِ الدّينِ ⇐ إِيّاكَ نَعبُدُ وَإِيّاكَ نَستَعينُ ⇐ اهدِنَا الصِّراطَ المُستَقيمَ ⇐ صِراطَ الَّذينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِم غَيرِ المَغضوبِ عَلَيهِم وَلَا الضّالّينَ

[Quran; 1:1-7] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.* Praise be to God, Lord of the universe. Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship; You alone we ask for help. Guide us in the right path; the path of those whom You blessed; not of those who have deserved wrath, nor of the strayers.

 رَبَّنَا اغفِر لَنا وَلِإِخوانِنَا الَّذينَ سَبَقونا بِالإيمانِ وَلا تَجعَل في قُلوبِنا غِلًّا لِلَّذينَ آمَنوا رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ رَءوفٌ رَحيمٌ ….

[Quran; 59:10] … “Our Lord, forgive us and our brethren who preceded us to the faith, and keep our hearts from harboring any hatred towards those who believed. Our Lord, You are Compassionate, Most Merciful.”

 رَبَّنا إِنَّنا آمَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ …

[Quran; 3:16] .. “Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins, and spare us the agony of the hellfire.”

 رَبَّنا آمَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا وَارحَمنا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّاحِمينَ …

[Quran; 23:109]…. “Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and shower us with mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful.”

 رَبَّنا وَسِعتَ كُلَّ شَيءٍ رَحمَةً وَعِلمًا فَاغفِر لِلَّذينَ تابوا وَاتَّبَعوا سَبيلَكَ وَقِهِم عَذابَ الجَحيمِ …

[Quran; 40:7] .. “Our Lord, Your mercy and Your knowledge encompass all things. Forgive those who repent and follow Your path, and spare them the retribution of Hell.

رَبَّنا وَأَدخِلهُم جَنّاتِ عَدنٍ الَّتي وَعَدتَهُم وَمَن صَلَحَ مِن آبائِهِم وَأَزواجِهِم وَذُرِّيّاتِهِم ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ

[Quran; 40:8] “Our Lord, and admit them into the gardens of Eden that You promised for them and for the righteous among their parents, spouses, and children. You are the Almighty, Most Wise.

رَبَّنا لا تَجعَلنا فِتنَةً لِلَّذينَ كَفَروا وَاغفِر لَنا رَبَّنا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ

[Quran; 60:5] “Our Lord, let us not be oppressed by those who disbelieved, and forgive us. You are the Almighty, Most Wise.”

… رَبِّ اجعَل هٰذا بَلَدًا آمِنًا وَارزُق أَهلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَراتِ مَن آمَنَ مِنهُم بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الآخِرِ …

[Quran; 2:126]… “My Lord, make this a peaceful land, and provide its people with fruits. Provide for those who believe in God and the Last Day.” …

 رَبِّ اجعَل هٰذَا البَلَدَ آمِنًا وَاجنُبني وَبَنِيَّ أَن نَعبُدَ الأَصنامَ …

[Quran; 14:35] … “My Lord, make this a peaceful land, and protect me and my children from worshiping idols.

رَبَّنا هَب لَنا مِن أَزواجِنا وَذُرِّيّاتِنا قُرَّةَ أَعيُنٍ وَاجعَلنا لِلمُتَّقينَ إِمامًا …

[Quran; 25:74] ….”Our Lord, let our spouses and children be a source of joy for us, and keep us in the forefront of the righteous.”

رَبَّنا وَاجعَلنا مُسلِمَينِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنا أُمَّةً مُسلِمَةً لَكَ وَأَرِنا مَناسِكَنا وَتُب عَلَينا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوّابُ الرَّحيمُ

[Quran; 2:128] “Our Lord, make us submitters to You, and from our descendants let there be a community of submitters to You. Teach us the rites of our religion, and redeem us. You are the Redeemer, Most Merciful.

رَبَّنا آتِنا مِن لَدُنكَ رَحمَةً وَهَيِّئ لَنا مِن أَمرِنا رَشَدًا …

[Quran; 18:10] … “Our Lord, shower us with Your mercy, and bless our affairs with Your guidance.”

 رَبَّنا أَتمِم لَنا نورَنا وَاغفِر لَنا ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ …

[ Quran; 66:8] …..Our Lord, perfect our light for us and forgive us; You are Omnipotent.

رَبَّنا أَفرِغ عَلَينا صَبرًا وَثَبِّت أَقدامَنا وَانصُرنا عَلَى القَومِ الكافِرينَ …

[Quran; 2:250] .., “Our Lord, grant us steadfastness, strengthen our foothold, and support us against the disbelieving people.”

رَبَّنا لا تُزِغ قُلوبَنا بَعدَ إِذ هَدَيتَنا وَهَب لَنا مِن لَدُنكَ رَحمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الوَهّابُ

[Quran; 3:8] “Our Lord, let not our hearts waver, now that You have guided us. Shower us with Your mercy; You are the Grantor.

رَبَّنا أَفرِغ عَلَينا صَبرًا وَتَوَفَّنا مُسلِمينَ …

[Quran; 7:126] .. “Our Lord, grant us steadfastness, and let us die as submitters.”

 رَبَّنا لا تُؤاخِذنا إِن نَسينا أَو أَخطَأنا ۚ رَبَّنا وَلا تَحمِل عَلَينا إِصرًا كَما حَمَلتَهُ عَلَى الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِنا ۚ رَبَّنا وَلا تُحَمِّلنا ما لا طاقَةَ لَنا بِهِ ۖ وَاعفُ عَنّا وَاغفِر لَنا وَارحَمنا ۚ أَنتَ مَولانا فَانصُرنا عَلَى القَومِ الكافِرينَ …

[Quran; 2:286] ..”Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make mistakes. Our Lord, and protect us from blaspheming against You, like those before us have done. Our Lord, protect us from sinning until it becomes too late for us to repent. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Master. Grant us victory over the disbelieving people.”

رَبَّنا آمَنّا بِما أَنزَلتَ وَاتَّبَعنَا الرَّسولَ فَاكتُبنا مَعَ الشّاهِدينَ

[Quran; 3:53] “Our Lord, we have believed in what You have sent down, and we have followed the messenger; count us among the witnesses.”

رَبِّ اجعَلني مُقيمَ الصَّلاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتي ۚ رَبَّنا وَتَقَبَّل دُعاءِ

[Quran; 14:40] “My Lord, make me one who consistently observes the Contact Prayers (Salat), and also my children. Our Lord, please answer my prayers.

رَبِّ أَوزِعني أَن أَشكُرَ نِعمَتَكَ الَّتي أَنعَمتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلىٰ والِدَيَّ وَأَن أَعمَلَ صالِحًا تَرضاهُ وَأَصلِح لي في ذُرِّيَّتي ۖ إِنّي تُبتُ إِلَيكَ وَإِنّي مِنَ المُسلِمينَ …

[Quran; 46:15]…”My Lord, direct me to appreciate the blessings You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do the righteous works that please You. Let my children be righteous as well. I have repented to You; I am a submitter.”

رَبَّنا إِنَّنا سَمِعنا مُنادِيًا يُنادي لِلإيمانِ أَن آمِنوا بِرَبِّكُم فَآمَنّا ۚ رَبَّنا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَكَفِّر عَنّا سَيِّئَاتِنا وَتَوَفَّنا مَعَ الأَبرارِ

[Quran; 3:193] “Our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith and proclaiming: `You shall believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us our transgressions, remit our sins, and let us die as righteous believers.

رَبَّنا وَآتِنا ما وَعَدتَنا عَلىٰ رُسُلِكَ وَلا تُخزِنا يَومَ القِيامَةِ ۗ إِنَّكَ لا تُخلِفُ الميعادَ

[Quran; 3:194] “Our Lord, shower us with the blessings you promised us through Your messengers, and do not forsake us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break a promise.”

 رَبِّ أَوزِعني أَن أَشكُرَ نِعمَتَكَ الَّتي أَنعَمتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلىٰ والِدَيَّ وَأَن أَعمَلَ صالِحًا تَرضاهُ وَأَدخِلني بِرَحمَتِكَ في عِبادِكَ الصّالِحينَ …

[Quran; 27:19] .. “My Lord, direct me to be appreciative of the blessings You have bestowed upon me and my parents, and to do the righteous works that please You. Admit me by Your mercy into the company of Your righteous servants.”

رَبَّنا آتِنا فِي الدُّنيا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ …

[Quran; 2:201] “Our Lord, grant us righteousness in this world, and righteousness in the Hereafter, and spare us the retribution of Hell.

 رَبِّ نَجِّني مِنَ القَومِ الظّالِمينَ …

[Quran; 28:21]… “My Lord, save me from the oppressive people.”

رَبِّ انصُرني عَلَى القَومِ المُفسِدينَ …

[Quran; 29:30] ..”My Lord, grant me victory over these wicked people.”

رَبِّ اشرَح لي صَدري …

[Quran; 20:25] ..”My Lord, cool my temper.

عَسىٰ رَبّي أَن يَهدِيَني سَواءَ السَّبيلِ …

[Quran; 28:22] …”May my Lord guide me in the right path.”

رَبِّ زِدني عِلمًا …

[Quran; 20:114]…”My Lord, increase my knowledge.”

رَبِّ هَب لي مِنَ الصّالِحينَ

[Quran; 37:100] “My Lord, grant me righteous children.”

رَبِّ فَلا تَجعَلني فِي القَومِ الظّالِمينَ

[Quran; 23:94] “My Lord, let me not be one of the transgressing people.”

رَبِّ هَب لي حُكمًا وَأَلحِقني بِالصّالِحينَ ⇐ وَاجعَل لي لِسانَ صِدقٍ فِي الآخِرينَ ⇐ وَاجعَلني مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعيمِ ⇐ وَاغفِر لِأَبي إِنَّهُ كانَ مِنَ الضّالّينَ ⇐ وَلا تُخزِني يَومَ يُبعَثونَ

[Quran; 26:83-87] “My Lord, grant me wisdom, and include me with the righteous. Let the example I set for the future generations be a good one. Make me one of the inheritors of the blissful Paradise. Forgive my father, for he is one of those who are astray. “And do not forsake me on the Day of Resurrection.”

رَبِّ أَدخِلني مُدخَلَ صِدقٍ وَأَخرِجني مُخرَجَ صِدقٍ وَاجعَل لي مِن لَدُنكَ سُلطانًا نَصيرًا …

[Quran; 17:80] … “My Lord, admit me an honorable admittance, and let me depart an honorable departure, and grant me from You a powerful support.”

رَبَّنا تَقَبَّل مِنّا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ …

[Quran; 2:127]… “Our Lord, accept this from us. You are the Hearer, the Omniscient.”

رَبَّنا عَلَيكَ تَوَكَّلنا وَإِلَيكَ أَنَبنا وَإِلَيكَ المَصيرُ …

[Quran; 60:4] … “Our Lord, we trust in You, and submit to You; to You is the final destiny.”
